Northside teacher wins grant from state Teacher of the Year program
Houston County’s 2015-16 Teacher of the Year has received a grant that will help her continue her education. Katherine Branch, a teacher at Northside High School, was recently honored with a $500 grant during the 45th annual Georgia Teacher of the Year program.
She plans to use the money to do educator training at the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta.
“I was so surprised and pleased to receive this award,” Branch said in a news release. “I look forward to training at the Ron Clark Academy that focuses on fostering an engaging learning environment.”
