Man shot in restaurant parking lot

A man is in stable condition following a shooting outside a Fort Valley restaurant early Sunday morning.

Maurice Brown, 43, was shot in the parking lot at Miss Jackee’s Hotwings on Orange Street, according to a Fort Valley Police Department release.

Police were called to the scene about 2:30 a.m., where they found Brown had been shot in the head. He was transported to the Medical Center, Navicent Health, in Macon.

The Peach County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the initial investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the police department at 478-825-3384.
