Macon-Bibb commissioner on the mend, mayor says

Macon-Bibb County Commissioner Virgil Watkins is recovering after sustaining an aneurysm, Mayor Robert Reichert said Tuesday.

Watkins represents a section of west Macon that includes a portion of downtown. He missed Tuesday’s County Commission meeting, but he sent an email to the County Commission about his condition, Reichert said.

Watkins was elected to his fourth term in office in May.
