Fabric store new to Warner Robins to open this fall
Another fabric store chain is moving into the same Warner Robins spot another fabric store moved out of earlier this year.
Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores plans to open a store in the former Hancock Fabrics location at 2951 Watson Blvd., according to a news release. The new store will offer a wide variety of fabrics, sewing supplies, crafting needs and home decor.
Hancock Fabrics announced April 1 it would close all its 70 stores nationwide. In addition to the store in Warner Robins, the company also had a store in Macon.
“In everything we do, our goal is to serve our loyal customers,” Jill Soltau, president and chief executive officer, said in the release. “It is that passion that led us to reach out to former Hancock employees regarding opportunities with Jo-Ann. Through opening this new location, we’re thrilled to become a member of the Warner Robins community.”
The store also will feature a wide array of finished products. Home decor, storage, jewelry, books and children’s activities are available for customers seeking ready-made items.
