Kroger holding job fair to help fill positions in 188 stores

Job seekers may be able to land one of the 1,200 open positions at 188 Kroger stores in three states, including Georgia.

Positions are available for baggers, cashiers and clerks, as well as in the deli and bakery departments, according to a release from Kroger’s Atlanta Division, which has oversight over its stores in Georgia, South Carolina and eastern Alabama.

Kroger is hosting a one-day job fair from 3-8 p.m. Aug. 9 at each of the stores, the release said. The event is an opportunity for applicants to learn more about careers available with Kroger and to learn what positions are available.

To make applying online easier, Kroger launched “mobile apply,” which allows job seekers to submit applications through their smartphones or tablet devices. Applicants should apply at https://jobs.kroger.com/ before attending the job fair.

“The Kroger Atlanta Division is dedicated to providing ample job opportunities with competitive pay and flexible hours for the communities that we serve,” Glynn Jenkins, public relations director for Kroger’s Atlanta Division, said in the release.
