This new Macon convenience store focuses on fresh food, specialty coffee
The new Circle K convenience store at the corner of Forest Hill Road and Northside Drive is a bit different from the other 12 Circle Ks in Macon.
The store at 4001 Northside Drive opened a few weeks ago, but it is holding its official grand opening 3-5 p.m. Nov. 30. The celebration will include discounted gasoline, giveaways and the appearance of Grave Digger, “one of the most decorated Monster Jam trucks in the world,” along with a member of the Grave Digger race team, according to a news release.
At nearly 5,000 square feet, the prototype store features a larger, more open layout, and it’s putting a greater focus on fresh, on-the-go food and beverage offerings, such as sandwiches, roller grill snacks, espresso-based specialty coffee and 36 fountain or frozen beverages, the release states.
The retailer offers non-ethanol gasoline, diesel fuel, indoor seating and a cash wash and vacuum center.
Next month, the store also will feature a wide array of made-to-order pizzas.
The Charlotte, North Carolina-based company has more than 7,800 locations in North America.
