Putnam County approves Sunday drink, package sales

Putnam County voters approved Sunday alcohol sales, both package sales and by the drink, by considerable margins Tuesday night. The authorization applies to unincorporated areas of the county.

Sunday package sales from 12:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. passed 1,927 votes to 1,237, according to the Putnam County Board of Elections & Registration.

Sunday sales by the drink, for the same hours, passed 1,967 to 1,186.

Both results are unofficial totals from Tuesday night.
