Mercer carries momentum into series at Western Carolina

The Mercer baseball team has plenty of momentum right now with a tough Southern Conference series up next.

The Bears have won five of their past six games and nine of 12 to get to 26-16 overall. They are third in conference play at 10-5, winning seven of their past nine.

This weekend, Mercer travels to Western Carolina, which is second in the conference at 11-4 and 21-19 overall.

UNC Greensboro leads the conference at 10-2.
