Veterans product Aspen Coggins earns conference award

Former Veterans standout and current LaGrange junior Aspen Coggins was named USA South volleyball defensive player of the week Tuesday.

Coggins averaged 4.57 digs per set as the Panthers posted a 2-2 record last week. She also had four kills, four service aces and four assists. Coggins totaled 14 digs, one kill and one service ace against Fisk. Against Wesleyan, she had six digs and an assist. In a five-set win over Huntingdon, Coggins had 24 digs, two kills, two service aces and an assist.

In the final match of the week against Sewanee, Coggins had 20 digs, two assists, a kill and a service ace. Coggins leads the team and is sixth in the conference with 113 digs. She is seventh in the conference with 4.19 digs per set.
