Mercer sweeps Southern Conference soccer honors

Mercer midfielder Jordan Duru was named the Southern Conference’s men’s soccer player of the week Tuesday, while goalkeeper Maggie Cropp took the women’s honors.

Duru scored three points during the week, including the game-winning goal against Georgia State and an assist on the game-winning goal against Central Florida.

Cropp had 11 saves during the weekend as Mercer had two games finish in scoreless ties.
