Georgia Southern set for another Power 5 opponent

Georgia Southern jumped right into FBS play last year in its first season in the Sun Belt Conference, winning the conference title with an 8-0 record.

The Eagles also fared well against Power 5 programs last year, taking Georgia Tech and N.C. State down to the final minutes before losing 42-38 and 24-23, respectively. The year before, the Eagles knocked off Florida in Gainesville.

Georgia Southern travels to Morgantown, West Virginia, on Saturday to face West Virginia for the first time. It also is the Eagles’ first game against a current member of the Big 12.

Georgia Southern plays Georgia in November.
