Shanteona Keys returns to Georgia College as assistant coach
Georgia College women’s basketball head coach Maurice Smith announced the addition of Shanteona Keys to the team’s coaching staff.
Keys is the program’s all-time leading scorer to the coaching staff.
“We are thrilled to have Keys join our staff,” Smith said. “As a student-athlete Keys represented everything that is right about college athletics. Her ability to excel in the classroom, community and on the court speaks volumes. She is a proven leader with high character and integrity. We look forward to her continuing to provide the same positive leadership as a coach as she did as a student-athlete.”
Keys finished her career with 1,822 points, the sixth most in Peach Belt Conference. She was the 2012 conference freshman of the year and earned all-conference honors in each of her four seasons.
