Freeman returning to Braves’ lineup against Astros

Freddie Freeman is scheduled to return to the Atlanta Braves’ lineup, albeit at a new position, Tuesday night against Houston.

The Braves announced Freeman’s return from the disabled list on Twitter when they tweeted, “The Braves have activated INF Freddie Freeman from the 10-day disabled list. He will start at 3B tonight against Houston.”

Freeman has played his entire major league career at first base, but he has been working at third base in his rehab to allow Matt Adams to play first base. The Braves acquired Adams in a trade with St. Louis after Freeman went on the DL in May.
