Mercer to open 2023 season on the road against SEC opponent

Mercer athletics director Jim Cole announced Friday that the Bears will open their 2023 football season at Mississippi.

Ole Miss marks the fourth team from the SEC that Mercer will face since the program’s reboot in 2013. Mercer plays Auburn and Alabama this season and Vanderbilt in 2020. Mercer will play Alabama again in 2021.

Also during the 2023 season, Mercer will host Yale.
