Schlenk getting to work with Hawks as their general manager

Travis Schlenk is the Atlanta Hawks’ new general manager. He was hired in May and took over June 1.

Schlenk worked most recently as an assistant general manager with the Golden State Warriors and spent 12 seasons with Golden State.

Schlenk was a video coordinator for the Miami Heat from 2000-04 and was part of Orlando’s basketball operations staff in 1997-98. He was an assistant coach with the Georgia Bulldogs in 1998-99.

Schlenk talked about his new position with the Hawks as a guest on “The Bill Shanks Show.”
