Georgia Tech snaps Mercer’s winning streak

Mercer’s 11-game winning streak was stopped Tuesday as Georgia Tech completed a season sweep of the Bears with an 8-5 win.

Georgia Tech (17-18) took control of the game with a six-run second inning. Mercer falls to 15-4 on the road and 6-2 against in-state teams, and it is 32-7 overall.

Jared Datoc got the win for Georgia Tech to improve to 4-0. Josh Knies dropped to 1-2 with the loss.
