Esleeck leaving Mercer basketball to join UNC Wilmington staff

Bob Hoffman’s longest-tenured assistant coach with the Mercer men’s basketball program is moving on.

Doug Esleeck is heading to UNC Wilmington to join that staff. Esleeck arrived at Mercer for the 2010-11 season. He was promoted to associate head coach in June of 2014.

Esleeck is joining the staff of new UNC Wilmington head coach C. B. McGrath. McGrath was hired April 3 after Kevin Keatts left the program to take over at N.C. State.
