Two Southern Conference teams make head coaching hires

Mercer’s football team will face two new head coaches in Southern Conference play next season.

Chattanooga made a hire to replace Russ Huesman, who left the Mocs to take over the Richmond program. Furman also made a hire to replace Bruce Fowler, who resigned earlier this month.

Mercer is 1-2 against Chattanooga and 2-1 against Furman since joining the Southern Conference.
