No-hitter lifts South Carolina to Little League Southeastern Regional title

Alex Edmonson threw a no-hitter as South Carolina blanked Virginia 7-0 Thursday in the Little League Southeastern Regional championship game in Warner Robins.

Edmonson fanned 12 with just two walks. He also went 3-for-4 with two homers and five RBI.

Virginia did manage a triple play in the fifth, but that wasn’t nearly enough to prevent South Carolina from earning its first trip to the Little League World Series since 1950.

South Carolina went 4-0 in the tournament and outscored opponents 35-10.
