Vine Ingle Little League receives forfeit win

The Vine Ingle 10-11 baseball team advanced in the elimination bracket of the state Little League tournament Sunday when Belvedere could not field a full team.

Vine Ingle will take on Hart County, an 8-7 loser to Cartersville on Sunday, at 3:30 p.m. on Monday in another elimination game.

In other Little League action, the Warner Robins American West 11-12 softball team won its state tournament opener Saturday in Columbus, defeating Athens 21-0. Warner Robins plays again at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
