SPHL honors Macon Mayhem duo
Mayhem pair honored by SPHL
Goaltender Garrett Bartus and right wing Shawn Skelly have been named to the All- SPHL in a poll of league coaches, general managers, and media members.
Bartus was named to the first team all-SPHL team and Skelly is a second-team selection.
Appearing in 45 games, Bartus led the league in minutes played (2,709), wins (22) saves, (1,421), save percentage (.929), and tied for the league lead in shutouts (3). His 2.39 goals against average, tied him for fourth in the league.
Skelly finished third in the SPHL scoring race with 63 points on 28 goals and 35 assists. His eight power-play goals and seven game-winning goals had him tied for the league lead in those categories.
The Mayhem play game two of the quarterfinal series at 9 p.m. Friday at Peoria.
Macon took a 1-0 lead with Wednesday's 3-2 win. Skelly scored a goal and Bartus stopped 41 of 43 shots.
