Macon Mayhem to meet Peoria in first round of SPHL playoffs

With Louisiana's 3-2 overtime win Thursday over Mississippi, the Macon Mayhem were locked into the eighth playoff spot in the SPHL, meaning the Mayhem will open the playoffs against regular-season champion Peoria.

According to a post on the Mayhem's Facebook page, the first game of the best-of-three series will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Macon Coliseum. Game 2 and, if needed, Game 3 will take place next weekend in Peoria.

Season ticket holders will be able to purchase tickets to Game 1 on Monday, while all other tickets will go on sale Tuesday. For more information, call the team office at 803-1592.
