Mayhem's Martinu honored by SPHL

The Southern Professional Hockey League on Tuesday announced goaltender Curtis Martinu of the Macon Mayhem as the Easton Player of the Week for February 15-21.

In picking up his first wins of the season, Martinu went 2-0-0 with a 1.50 goals against average and .953 save percentage as he helped the Mayhem sweep a pair of games from third-place Pensacola and move back into a tie for the final playoff position.

Macon is on an eight-game road trip and returns home on March 17 to host Knoxville.
