Mayhem drop first game of road trip

The Macon Mayhem lost the first game of their five-game road trip Friday, falling 3-1 at Peoria.

Peoria scored goals in the first and second periods, with Macon's Austin Daae cutting the Mayhem's deficit to 2-1 with a goal at the 9:33 mark of the third. But Chris Wilson's goal with a little less than three minutes remaining sealed the win for Peoria.

Daae's goal was his first with the Mayhem. He started the season with Fayetteville, scoring a goal there before moving to Macon.

Peoria, which outshot Macon 42-37, hosted the Mayhem again late Saturday.
