How the players from Bibb, Houston, Peach, Monroe, Jones, Crawford and Twiggs counties fared in the NFL in the first week of the season.

Robert Davis (Northside) Washington: Assigned to practice squad.

Darqueze Dennard (Twiggs County) Cincinnati: Had four tackles and one pass defensed against Baltimore.

Casey Hayward (Perry) Los Angeles Chargers: Had four tackles, one pass defensed and one fumble recovery against Denver.

Kareem Jackson (Westside) Houston: Had six tackles against Jacksonville.

Abry Jones (Northside) Jacksonville: Had two tackles, half a sack, two quarterback hits and one fumble recovery against Houston.

Marquette King (Rutland) Oakland: Had three punts for a 52.7-yard average against Tennessee.

Steven Nelson (Northside) Kansas City: Placed on injured reserve list.

Demarcus Robinson (Peach County) Kansas City: Played five plays on offense and nine plays on special teams against New England.

DeAndre Smelter (Tattnall Square) San Francisco: Assigned to practice squad.
