Westfield’s Brannen set for another all-star baseball game
Cole Brannen is having quite the summer.
Last month, he participated in an all-star baseball game at Wrigley Field.
Now, the Westfield senior is back on a big-league diamond, this time in the Nike Perfect Game All-American Classic.
The game is at 8 p.m. on Sunday on the MLB Network and will be played at Petco Park in San Diego.
Former Houston County outfielder and pitcher D.L. Hall, now at Valdosta, is also on the East roster, along with catcher Luis Campusano of Cross Creek, outfielder Terriez Fuller of Griffin, outfielder Kyle Jacobsen of Allatoona, outfielder Drew Waters of Etowah and catcher Steven Williams of Deerfield-Windsor.
Brannen, who recently participated in the East Coast Pro Showcase in Tampa, started in left field in the Under Armour game, and had an RBI triple and came up with a quality catch at the wall.
