Bleckley County’s Ellen Powell to sign with Mercer cross country

Bleckley County cross country runner Ellen Powell will sign with Mercer on Friday, according to a Twitter post from Bleckley County athletics director Benjy Rogers.

Powell finished 15th in the GHSA Class AA cross country meet in November, pacing the Royals’ eighth-place finish.

In last year’s Class AA track and field meet, Powell won the 800 and finished fourth in the 1,600.
