Stratford's Farriba takes athletics director honor

The Georgia Athletic Directors Association has named Stratford's Mark Farriba as GHSA Region 7-A athletics director of the year.

Farriba, a 1974 graduate of Stratford, is in his 13th year at Stratford and his second year as athletics director.

His first year in the post coincided with Stratford's return to the GHSA. Stratford finished the year ranked third in the Director's Cup for Class A overall athletics excellence.

In Region 7-A, Stratford placed first in all three categories girls' programs, boys' programs and overall.
