BOYS

Tunji Afolabi-Brown, Mount de Sales, track and field

Afolabi-Brown won the 1,600 meters (5:00.4) and 3,200 meters (11:03.47) in a meet at FPD.

Cory Bartholomew, Tattnall Square, baseball

Bartholomew struck out nine Stratford batters in a complete-game win Tuesday and hit a home run against the Eagles on Thursday.

Temia Flint, Central, soccer

Flint had three goals and an assist in a loss to Jackson on Friday.

DL Hall, Houston County, baseball

Hall had two hits in the Bears' win over Warner Robins, and he added two more hits against Veterans.

Tanner Hall, Houston County, baseball

The senior lefty had a save against Veterans and pitched 6-2/3 innings against Jones County, striking out nine and walking one for the win while adding two hits and an RBI.

Jack Lipson, Mount de Sales, baseball

Lipson struck out 10 and surrendered one walk in a win over Wilkinson County.

Blake Simmons, Tattnall Square, baseball

Simmons had two hits against Stratford on Tuesday and had a double and a triple against the Eagles on Friday.

Juwayn Taylor, Southwest, baseball

Taylor had two hits and drove in three runs against Westside and then got the win over the Seminoles in the teams' second meeting during the week.

Brooks Veal, Jones County, baseball

Veal had three hits against Northside, added two hits, three runs scored and three RBI against Upson-Lee and had two hits and an RBI against Houston County.

Robby Watson, FPD, track and field

Watson won the discus (159-2) and shot put (47-7.5) in a meet FPD hosted.

GIRLS

DaLoria Boone, John Milledge, track and field

Boone set program records in winning the 100 meters, 200 meters and long jump in a meet at Stratford.

Lilly Bridges, Gatewood, track and field

Birdges won the 100-meter hurdles (17.15) and 300-meter hurdles (51.14) in a meet at FPD.

Jessica Estrada/Alexandra Estrada, Peach County, tennis

Both Estradas won their match to key Peach County to a 3-2 victory over Perry.

Eliza Freedman, Stratford, tennis

Freedman won her match 6-1, 6-0 to lead the Eagles to a victory over FPD.

Bella Gill, Stratford, soccer

Gill had five goals against Tattnall Square and two goals and two assists against Holy Innoncents.

Maggie Johnston, FPD, track and field

Johnston won the discus (130-9) and shot put (38.375) in a meet that FPD hosted.

Eellie Peterson, Stratford, track and field

Peterson won the 1,600 meters (6:33.7) and 3,200 meters (14:25) in a meet that Stratford hosted.

Sydney Reese, FPD, tennis

Reese won two matches during the week, 7-6, 6-3 and 8-2.

Emory Sutherland, Stratford, soccer

Sutherland had a hat trick in a win over previously undefeated Holy Innocents.

Jessy Tallant, Mount de Sales, track and field

Tallant won the 800 meters (2:34.49) and 1,600 meters (5:46.37) in a meet at FPD.

Nominations for the top performances of the week, which should include cumulative stats as well as milestones, must be received at sports@macon.com by noon each Saturday.
