Jake Fromm, Rush Propst earn top Macon Touchdown Club honors
Jake Fromm and Rush Propst headline the award winners scheduled to be honored at Monday's Macon Touchdown Club jamboree, according to a post made on the club's Facebook page.
Fromm, the Houston County quarterback and Alabama commitment, has been named the club's state player of the year. Propst, who led Colquitt County to the GHSA Class AAAAAA title, is the club's state coach of the year.
Rounding out the club's Super Seven honorees will be Warner Robins' Marquez Callaway, Jackson's Michail Carter, Dooly County's Antonneous Clayton, Upson-Lee's David Marshall, Vidalia's Nate McBride and Lee County's Aubrey Solomon.
The club's back of the year award will go to Central's Derrick Evans. The lineman of the year award will go to Jones County's Torrez Finney. The special teams player of the year award will go to Covenant's Khristian Tate.
Covenant's Chris Oxford receives the club's local coach of the year honor.
The club also selected four honorees for the Bobby Sanders Memorial Scholarship: Mount de Sales' Brandon Crowder, Tattnall Square's Jacob Dooley, Howard's Martin Flowers and FPD's Will McCormick.
The jamboree's featured speaker will be Georgia head coach Kirby Smart. Tickets to the event are sold out.
