Bibb School Board set to act on Rutland football/AD position

The Bibb County School Board will take up the Rutland athletics director/football head coach position at its meeting Thursday.

According to Bibb County athletics director Eddie Ashley, a nominee has been selected for board consideration. The school district is keeping the name confidential until the board meeting.

Should the board approve the hire, that person would replace George Collins, who spent eight seasons as Rutland's athletics director and football head coach.
