Tattnall Square's Antoine Davis competes in U.S. Army National Combine
Tattnall Square freshman football player Antoine Davis competed Thursday in the U.S. Army National Combine in San Antonio.
According to a release, 600 of the nation's top high school football underclassmen were scheduled to take part in the event at the Alamodome. Davis was invited by the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Committee.
"Antoine Davis is a great kid with unbelievable athletic ability and an unmatched work ethic," Tattnall assistant coach Travis Absher said. "Antoine started all season as a freshman on defense and special teams and played offense in every game this year. Antoine had over 60 tackles and a dozen pass break ups as a corner and did not have a pass completed on him the last three games of the season."
The event is held in association with the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Last summer, Davis was named a top defensive back by Football University at its Top Gun event.
