Middle Georgians scheduled to compete in that game are Peach County place-kicker Omar Cervantes, Macon County quarterback K'hari Lane, Crisp County defensive end Markaviest Bryant, Upson-Lee offensive guard Clark Daniel and Mary Persons defensive end Malik Herring.

Several more Middle Georgia players are scheduled to take part in the Georgia Junior-Sophomore Elite Classic on Dec. 29 at McEachern.

Southwest defensive end BJ Sharpe, Northside safety Tae Daley, Northside quarterback Tobias Oliver, Vidalia guard Samuel Collins and Fitzgerald running back JD King are listed in the junior game lineups.

Warner Robins tackle Christian Armstrong, Houston County offensive guard Deontrey Hill, Taylor County quarterback Gunner Watson, Taylor County running back Lyn J. Dixon, Peach County wide receiver Kearis Jackson, Peach County safety Shamarcus Redding, Upson-Lee linebacker Lazavier Moore, Washington County tackle Mitchell Lord and Macon County wide receiver Trey Brown are slated to take part in the sophomore contest.

Among the big national games, Dooly County defensive end Antonneous Clayton is scheduled to compete in the Under Armour All-America Game on Jan. 2 in Orlando, Florida, while Warner Robins receiver Marquez Callaway is on the East roster for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 9 in San Antonio.

An all-star game with a Middle Georgia focus will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Ed DeFore Sports Complex when the Georgia Sports Alliance All-Star High School Senior Football Game takes place. Most players in that event will come from Middle Georgia, with a handful from the Columbus and Savannah areas also competing.
