Signings updates throughout Middle Georgia

Jones County cross country standout Kate Boland signed Tuesday with Augusta, formerly known as Georgia Regents, formerly known as Augusta State.

Boland holds multiple school records in both sports, and finished 12th in the GHSA Class AAAAA cross country meet earlier this month, three spots better than a year ago. She was an All-Middle Georgia cross country selection last year.

Monique Veal of Jones County signed for golf Tuesday with Savannah State.

It'll be a full afternoon of signings at Veterans on Thursday, covering three sports.

Cross country standout Michael Rowlands will sign with Mercer, followed by softball standout Avery Lamb with Valdosta State. Then baseball players Tyler Daughtry and Griff Faircloth will sign, Daughtrey with Florida State and Faircloth with Armstrong Atlantic.

Amber Coy of Houston County will sign a softball letter-of-intent Wednesday with Georgia College. The infielder helped the Bears to a second-place finish in GHSA Class AAAAA. She'll join GMC standout Sutton Long, who also has cast her lot with the Bobcats.
