Stratford's Cephus commits to Wisconsin

Stratford's Quintez Cephus completed his transition from basketball prospect to football prospect Friday afternoon, committing to Wisconsin's football program.

Cephus, a 6-foot-2, 181-pound split end, made the announcement on Twitter.

"It's official I'm a Badger Boy!!! #OnWisconsin" Cephus tweeted.

Earlier this year, Cephus committed to Furman's basketball program and was scheduled to sign Wednesday. But after Cephus was moved from quarterback to split end, he started to receive attention from Division I college football programs, with Wisconsin being the first major program to express interest.

After visiting Wisconsin and Georgia Tech, Cephus decided to focus on football, choosing Friday afternoon to go with the Badgers. Cephus has 34 catches for 721 yards and 12 touchdowns this season.
