Jones County's Justin Rogers honored by Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons pick a state high school coach of the week, looking at more than wins and losses. And they like Middle Georgia this year.
Jones County's Justin Rogers is the latest selection, joining Matt Burleson of Telfair County, Tommy Parks of Upson-Lee, Mark Farriba of Stratford and Von Lassiter of Houston County. That's five from Middle Georgia and five from the rest of the state.
Last year, Fitzgerald's Jason Strickland was the lone pick from the area.
The coaches are chosen based on "their hard work and dedication to making a difference in student-athletes lives on and off the field," according to the Falcons' website.
