Northside remains No. in state sports writers poll
Northside remained the unanimous pick atop the Georgia Sports Writers Association Class AAAAA poll, and has been the case most of the season, there was little movement among Middle Georgia teams.
Mary Persons moved up one to No. 4 in Class AAAA, and Fitzgerald gained a hint of ground in Class AA, from a tie for sixth to fifth.
Jones County and Houston County remained 5-6 in Class AAAAA, and Dodge County at No. 7 in Class AAA.
Barring any upsets, next Friday's game at McConnell-Talbert will pit the No. 1 Eagles and No. 6 Bears.
The No. 1 teams in Class AAAAAA (Colquitt County), Class AAA (Calhoun) and
Class AA (Benedictine) were all unanimous.
