Dontrez Johnson leads FPD over Tattnall Square
FPD snapped its three-game losing streak and extended Tattnall Square's losing streak to four games with a 31-6 win Friday night.
The Vikings improve to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in GHSA Region 7A-A, while the Trojans drop to 3-4 and 0-3.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Vikings led 10-0 at the half on a Dontrez Johnson 3-yard run and a Brad Powell 30-yard field goal in the second quarter. Tattnall pulled to within 10-6 on an 80-yard touchdown in the third quarter from Miles Morris to Aubrien Kemp, but then the Vikings pulled away in the final quarter.
And it was Johnson who led the way with another 3-yard run, followed by a 68-yard run and a 70-yard interception return. Johnson finished with 27 carries for 205 yards.
