Windsor, Brentwood to meet in GISA Class AA softball final

Windsor and Brentwood will face off in the GISA Class AA softball championship series Saturday at Georgia Southwestern.

The best-of-three series will start at 1 p.m., with all three games, if needed, being played Saturday.

Windsor swept David Emanuel 6-0 and 4-3 on Wednesday to earn a spot in the title series. Holly Phillips picked up the pitching victory in both games, adding a two-run homer in the third inning of the first game.

The second game of Windsor's semifinal series went eight innings. Kaley Sadler's double in the top of the eighth drove home the go-ahead run for the Knights (18-6).

Brentwood defeated Southwest Georgia in the other semifinal series. Trinity Christian-Dublin will play Pinewood Christian at noon on Saturday at Georgia College in the Class AAA championship series.
