Peach County shuts down Kendrick

Peach County scored all of its points in the first half and cruised to a 35-12 win over Kendrick on Friday night in GHSA Region 2-AAA play.

The win was the Trojans’ sixth straight as they improved to 5-0 in region play.

Jamian Thompson got Peach County on the board with a blocked punt return for a 3-yard touchdown, and James Jackson added a 3-yard scoring run for a 14-0 Peach County lead. Otha Redding had a 5-yard interception return, followed by a 38-yard scoring pass from Tyrique McGhee to Kearis Jackson and a 4-yard run by James Jackson to make it 35-0 at the half.

The Peach County defense surrendered just 109 yards, 59 rushing and 50 passing.
