Mary Persons’ Camp making a name at Western Kentucky

Western Kentucky’s offensive line already has two Middle Georgia connections, with another one doing well.

Maconite and former Central standout Neil Callaway is the offensive line coach for the Hilltoppers, and he has been getting plenty of chances to see the work of former Mary Persons’ standout Tyler Camp.

Camp is one of several freshman who is  playing his way into the line rotation for Western Kentucky.

West Laurens grad Darrell Williams Jr., is a fourth-year junior on the offensive line. He started 10 games at guard last season after starting the year with an injury.

Western Kentucky went 8-5 last season, 4-4 in Conference USA, and beat Central Michigan 49-48 in the Bahamas Bowl.
