It’s time to vote for the top high school athletes in Middle Georgia for the winter sports season.

Below are the high school athletes nominated to be the top girls’ athlete from the winter sports season in Middle Georgia. The candidates were suggested by school officials and coaches. The Telegraph also assessed player stats for the season.

Nariah Nelson, Veterans High School

Nariah Nelson is a junior at Veterans High School in Houston County who plays basketball. She averaged 9.1 rebounds and 21 points per game this season. She was also named the Co-Player of the Year for Region 2-AAAAA and selected as a Georgia Athletic Coaches Association all-state player.

Claire Loseke, Perry High School

Claire Loseke is a junior swimmer at Perry High School. Loseke was the region champion in both the 50 Freestyle and 500 Freestyle.

My’Saviour Darby, Southwest High School

My’Saviour Darby is a senior basketball player at Southwest High School. Darby averaged six points and three rebounds per game. She is also a multi-sport athlete, playing volleyball in the fall.
