Who was Middle Georgia’s best high school football player this year? Vote now in our poll

With Georgia’s high school football playoffs wrapping up, it’s time to vote on Middle Georgia’s high school football player of the year.

Middle Georgia high schools had an exceptional football season, with multiple teams making the playoffs and Northeast High School making it all the way to the state championship against Toombs County.

The Telegraph has rounded up some of Middle Georgia’s shining stars from this season for readers to choose which one was the best player. The poll will stay open until Jan. 3. Here are the players nominated:

  • Rasean Dinkins, Warner Robins High School: Dinkins played multiple positions including quarterback, linebacker and wide receiver. He had 57 tackles and seven rushing touchdowns.

  • Isaiah “Bull” Mitchell, Houston County High School: Mitchell is a wide receiver who threw for 134 yards and had a 71.4% completion rate.

  • Nikee Walker, Central High School: Walker is a linebacker who made 76 tackles, about half of them solo, and was a two-year team captain.

  • Javion Solomon, Jones County High School: Solomon is a wide receiver who had 87 catches and had 14 touchdowns.

  • Nick Woodford, Northeast High School: Woodford is a running back who averaged 10.8 rushing yards per game and had 37 rushing touchdowns.

  • Rashon Collier, Rutland High School: Collier plays multiple positions including running back and defensive back. He rushed for 284 yards this season and passed for another 147 yards.

  • Kadiphius Iverson, Westside High School: Iverson is a running back who ran for 31 touchdowns this season and averaged 6.2 rushing yards per game.
