Running back Amaad Foston led the Trojans with 8 touchdowns and over 400 yards rushing.
Warner Robins 55, Starr’s Mill 3
Warner Robins came out with a chance to earn a spot in the state championship for the third straight season.
The Demons wasted little time storming out to a 28-3 lead by the half. In the second half, it was more of the same as they piled on the points including a pair of defensive touchdowns.
The Demons will take on the Buford Wolves next Friday in the GHSA AAAAA state championship. The Wolves knocked off Jones County 29-0 to move on to the title game.
Dublin 55, Thomasville 45
The Dublin Fighting Irish put on a rushing clinic against Thomasville en route to 41 first half points. Thomasville would storm back in the second half before Dublin would put them away for good.
Next up for Dublin is a showdown with Brooks County, which knocked off Callaway 39-35, for the GHSA AA state championship.
Buford 29, Jones County 0
The Jones County Greyhounds came up one game short of the state championship in head coach Mike Chastain’s first season with the team. The offense never got going against a tough Buford defense.
The Greyhounds will lose a talented senior class, including quarterback Hunter Costlow and standout wide receiver Jontavis Robertson. Chastain will look to get the team back in title contention next season.
