Who was the best high school football player in Middle Georgia this season? Vote now
As the football season comes to a close, The Telegraph would like to recognize the outstanding players from around the Middle Georgia.
The hard work during the season has shown that Middle Georgia-area players can compete with anyone in Georgia. Three teams, Northside, Peach County and Warner Robins, will all play in the state championships next week. Their talent will be on full display and give others from around the state a glimpse into what Friday nights look like here.
During the season, our weekly polls highlighted players of the week. Those players have automatically qualified for this poll. The other names were selected based on stats and contributions throughout the season.
Voting will be open until next Friday, Dec. 14, at noon. The winner of the poll will be announced at 1 p.m. on Friday. The rules for the poll are simple: each person may vote once per day and you may share the poll as many times as you like to encourage your friends and family to vote.
Automatic qualifiers for the Player of the Week award include:
Mary Persons DE Daniel Lavelle
Northeast QB Nolan Ussery
Jones County WR Jontavis Robertson
Howard CB Lorenzo Hargrove
FPD QB Coleman Cauley
Mary Persons RB Quen Wilson
Tattnall RB Jamal Marshall
