Here is the weekly wrap-up of the high school football games from around Middle Georgia:

Valdosta 46 vs Northside 44

This shootout had it all. Comebacks by both teams, lots of offense and plenty of big plays for each side. It was a recipe for arguably one of the best games of the season.

Valdosta jumped out to a 21-0 lead that included a 71-yard pass from Tate Rodemaker to his big play target Devonta Berrian. Jadin Daniels, the right-handed Michael Vick, took over for Northside. He ran for back-to-back scores to pull the Eagles within seven. He uncorked an 80-yard bomb to Daniel Neal to tie the game up at 21 heading to the half.

Out of the half, Valdosta would jump out to another big lead. With less than eight minutes left in the game the Eagles trailed 43-24. Daniels would once again engineer a comeback with three straight touchdowns to give Northside its first lead of the night 44-43. Valdosta would pull back ahead with 2:02 left in the game on a 40-yard field goal to seal the game.

Tattnall 28 vs FPD 13

Tattnall came into the game needing a win to setup a region title showdown next week versus Greene County. FPD was hoping to play spoiler. Tattnall jumped out to a 14-0 lead after the first quarter. The ground game was working well for this team. FPD wouldn’t go quietly though as Parker Ingram hit Austin Cox for a touchdown but the point after attempt was blocked. In the third quarter, Jamal Marshall continued his incredible season with a 44-yard run through the Viking defense to all but seal the game. The two teams would trade a score but FPD never threatened in this one. Tattnall will now head to Greene County with a chance to win the region.

John Milledge 14 vs Frederica 13

John Milledge is now 10-0 on the season. Just as it has all season John Milledge simply finds a way to win. The Trojans have blown out teams and come from behind to stun others. Frederica jumped out to the early lead but the Trojans would answer with an Amaad Foston touchdown run. Then the pair of teams wouldn’t score again until overtime. John Milledge scored first on a Brandon Bellflower run. Frederica would answer back with a touchdowns of its own. With a chance to knock off the undefeated Trojans on the line, Frederica would go for two and the win. The John Milledge defense came up with one last stop though to end the game and any chance of an upset by Frederica.
