Freshman takes home Telegraph Player of the Week award
Each week we select players from around the Middle Georgia area who have performed well for their teams and put their names to vote in a poll. Those selections are made based on nominations that we receive from coaches, parents and family members of the players. Other players are selected for the poll by reporter Justin Baxley based on stats that are available or games that our attended by our staff.
This week we are proud to announce the winner of the Telegraph Player of the Week poll — voted on by you — is FPD quarterback, Coleman Cauley. The freshman quarterback tossed two touchdowns and accounted for 100 yards of total offense. For the season, Cauley has almost 500 yards passing and six touchdowns through the air. He is also a threat with his legs. He has 389 yards rushing and another five touchdowns on the ground.
Player of the Week winners are eligible for our Player of the Year award.
Previous winners:
Mary Persons DE Daniel Lavelle
