A capsule look at high school games involving teams from Bibb, Houston, Peach, Monroe and Jones counties.

Bainbridge at Warner Robins

Bainbridge, 7-2, 3-0, which is led by running back Dameon Pierce who has over 1,700 yards rushing this year, will be a test for Warner Robins in a key GHSA region 1-5A game. Warner Robins will answer with quarterback Dylan Fromm, who has thrown for 2,169 yards and 26 touchdowns. The Demons are undefeated at 9-0.

Dutchtown at Jones County

The Greyhounds, 8-1, 6-1, look to bounce back from their first loss a week ago and face a pivotal GHSA region 4-5A game against Dutchtown, 7-2,5-2. Jones County is led by quarterback Teldrick Ross, who has thrown for 984 yards and run for another 863 yards, and running back Drake Bolus who has 984 yards rushing to go with 15 touchdowns.

Houston County at Valdosta

Houston County, 2-7, 0-3, plays its last game of the season on the road against Valdosta. Houston County has been led by the running of Wesley Steiner, who has gained 714 yards this year.

Jackson at Peach County

Peach County, 8-1, 5-0, will look to remain undefeated in GHSA region 4-3A play with a win over Jackson. Quarterback Antonio Gilbert has thrown for 1,600 yards, while wide Kearis Jackson has 736 yards and 7 touchdowns receiving. Chris Gibson has 1,000 yards rushing and receiving yards to go with 23 touchdowns.

Kendrick at Westside

The Seminoles have won four straight games in GHSA region 4-3A and look to for another win against Kendrick, a team with only one win.

Mary Persons at Howard

Mary Person, 7-2, 4-0, has clinched being the No. 1 seed in GHSA region 2-4A, while Howard, 6-3, 2-2, has clinched a state playoff position for the first time in school history.

Lincoln County at FPD

Lincoln County, 5-4, meets up with FPD, 7-2, in a GHSA region 7-1A crossover game. FPD has two key wins in a row over Tattnall Square and Mount de Sales and is in great position to secure a first round home playoff game with a win. FPD is led by quarterback Dalton Cox who has thrown for 2,051 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Washington Wilkes at Tattnall Square

Tattnall Square, 7-2, looks to defeat Washington Wilkes, 5-4, for the fourth time in the last two years. The two teams met earlier this year and Tattnall squeezed out a 35-30 win. A win for Tattnall on Friday secures a first round home playoff game.

Hancock Central at Mount de Sales

Mount de Sales 5-4 is probably in the playoffs with a win, but if they lose to Hancock Central 2-7, they will have to play the waiting game next week to see if the make the GHSA A-private school playoffs.

Aquinas at Stratford

The championship game in GHSA region 7-1A private takes place on Friday between Aquinas and Stratford. The Eagles will count on running backs Deondre Duehart, Tyler Jordan and Jonathan Siegel who have gained over 2000 yards between them and added 32 touchdowns. Stratford 9-0 comes into the game as one of two area teams that are still undefeated.
