Mary Persons comes back, beats Spalding at the buzzer

Alexander Rivera’s 43-yard field goal as time expired delivered Mary Persons to a 17-14 come-from-behind win on Friday against Spalding.

The Bulldogs scored 10 points in the final 2:21 to rally from being down 14-7. Mary Persons, which got a fourth-quarter score from Zach Harvey, took a 7-0 lead on the game’s first play on a slant pass from Caleb Speir to Jatori Sims.
