Cherokee Pines to host women’s tour event

Cherokee Pines Golf and Fitness in Perry will host a women’s developmental golf tour event in late June.

The Cherokee Pines Golf Classic, a National Women’s Golf Association tour stop, will take place June 27-29. The event will be preceded by a pro-am tournament on June 26.

Formerly the SunCoast Ladies Professional Golf Tour, the NWGA is the second largest women’s professional golf organization in the country, according to a release from the tour.
